Self-troubleshooting steps:

How do I know if my DVX is working as intended?

o   With the DVX uninstalled from your vehicle, attempt to press against the piston. What we’re looking for here is to see if the piston is able to travel in the body of the DVX without getting obstructed or stuck. It should be in a seamless movement.

I feel like something isn’t working as intended. What can I check?

o   If you’ve curious about the state of your DVX, it might be a good time to consider a full walkthrough to gain a better understanding of the condition of your DVX. First, start by inspecting the body of the DVX. Look for any visible signs of damage. If the body of the valve looks to be in good condition, ensure that the vacuum line connecting to the brass vacuum nipple is in good condition also. Ensure that it is not torn or damaged in any way. After visually confirming that these components are undamaged, perform the step above to diagnose the piston and its movement. If you were still unable to diagnose what is going on after performing these steps, please be sure to contact us at [email protected]!

I’m noticing that the volume adjustment sleeve keeps changing from what I’ve set it at back to the lowest setting. What’s going on?

o   In some cases, we’ve found that on vehicles with an increased amount of vibration from the engine or vehicle itself, the volume adjustment sleeve can adjust itself. If in your case you are experiencing this, please contact us so that we’d be able to organize a pair of thicker O-rings to place onto the volume adjustment sleeve. We will also be sure to include a set of instructions on how to perform this modification as well too!

FAQ:

Is there a certain way that the recirculation outlet must be faced?

o   We understand that sometimes there may be regional differences resulting in various hardlines in the surrounding area of the diverter valve, making installation a bit different to how we recommend. We recommend, for optimal flow, that the recirc outlet must face towards the recirc passage inside the turbo compressor. This recirculated air vented by the DVX is aimed directly at the recirc passage for optimal flow. This, however, is only recommended if it can be achieved. If there is a potential fitment issue affecting the installation of your DVX in this orientation, please be sure to install the DVX in accordance with how much space you have available. This will still flow almost identically to having the recirc outlet faced towards the recirc passage in the compressor.

Why does my piston have a blue seal instead of the silicon one that I’ve seen before?

o   We’ve recently adopted more modern production methods and sustainable materials that have allowed us to evolve our piston seal technology. By changing to a blue VITON seal, we’ve been able to ensure that we’re still able to guarantee the same performance and durability at our high-quality standards. Performance without compromise.

I’m interested in your lifetime warranty policy, what does this include?

o   We offer lifetime warranty on all of our products, so provided that there is a genuine manufacturing or assembly fault with your product – please send us some photos of what’s going on so that we’d be able to assist with either replacement parts or components. It’s also worth noting that we our lifetime warranty does not extend to those who have purchased our parts second hand.

Do any components in this kit need to be lubricated with engine oil?

o   No! Unlike our DV+ kit, you will not need to lubricate the piston or plunger of your DVX. We pre lubricate the piston when installing the piston into the body of the DVX and there is enough blow by through your engine to help keep this piston lubricated. You will also, not need to lubricate the plunger.
