FAQ:

Am I able to install a whistling trumpet on my VTA?

o   Unfortunately, no. The 5701/5702 whistling trumpets are designed specifically for our Mach 2, Hybrid, Respons and Deceptor Pro II valves and are not compatible with the T9430 VTA. They are differently sized trumpets and are not interchangeable.

Will I need to purchase any other accessories to install this?

o   No! You will not to. Everything is included in the T9430 VTA kit alongside a clear and concise set of instructions that detail the installation process. The T9430 VTA will simply replace the short plastic joiner connecting the turbo outlet to the charge pipe.

How critical is the spring preload screw? Do I need to change this setting?

o   Adjusting the spring preload screw is an optional second step that can be performed to gain better throttle response and reduce lag. The T9430 VTA will still remain closed without changing the spring preload adjustment and VTA will stay closed whilst on boost regardless of the spring setting or boost pressure.

Self-troubleshooting steps:

How do I know that my VTA is in good condition?

o   Inspect the body of the VTA, look for any visible signs of damage to the clamps, body, and trumpet. If no visible signs of damage are visible, your valve is more than likely in perfect working condition.

I feel like something isn’t working as intended. What can I do to get a better understanding of what is going on?

o   With the VTA installed on your vehicle, perform the test above to double check the condition of your VTA. If everything looks to be in good condition, have a look and double check the condition of the vacuum hose connecting to the brass vacuum nipple and ensure that there is not damage (tears or rips) to this hose. If something does appear to be damaged, please be sure to send us some photos of what is going on so that we’d be able to provide the relevant steps on how to proceed next.
