Specific Product Information

What's Included

  • 1 x Manifold boost port
  • 1 x Whistling trumpet
  • 25cm length silicone vacuum hose

T9303-A Specific Features

The T9303-A SXV is configured specifically for fitment onto Can Am X3 Turbo models. It features a softer spring than the T9302 to function correctly with the different manifold vacuum characteristics of the Can Am, and includes a manifold boost port to allow quick and easy connection of the BOV's reference port to the intake manifold.

Because the Can Am does not have a factory-fitted valve of any kind, installation of the SXV requires an aftermarket intercooler charge pipe with a 25mm (1") blow off valve mounting provision, which is available from GFB separately (part # 5110-BLK).

The included trumpet creates a unique blow off sound, and can also be fitted with a filter for extra protection when running in dirty environments. You can purchase a suitable filter separately from GFB (part # 5711), you can also use any filter with a 38mm neck and at least 75mm length.

Alternatively, you can purchase the complete SXV bolt-on BOV kit (part # T9303-AF-10BLK), which includes the SXV BOV, intercooler hose, filter, and everything you need to complete the installation.

Features and Benefits

  • Precision CNC machined components

Use Cases

  •  Applicable for vehicles fitted with a Bosch style diverter valve.

Self-troubleshooting Steps

How do I know what way to install my SXV?

  • The SXV is designed to be installed with boost pressure entering the bottom and dumping through the side. You can check for the correct orientation by tracing the 2 large diverter valve hoses with the bottom inlet connecting to the intercooler piping and side outlet connecting to the turbo intake.

How can I test if the SXV is working as intended?

  • With the SXV uninstalled from your vehicle, we recommend pushing against the piston to see if it is able to travel in the body of the valve freely without getting obstructed. If the piston in the bore is getting stuck, send us a video of you performing this test through our website: https://gfb.com.au/contact-us/

FAQ

I’ve installed the SXV onto my vehicle, why isn’t it making any noise!
Our SXV range are full recirculation only, meaning that it is not able to vent to atmosphere. This also means that you will, unfortunately, not be able to hear a “whooshing” sound after coming off throttle too. If you want to vent to atmosphere, you will need to purchase and install an SXV trumpet (Part# 5703).

I lost one of the spring preload screws, can I just use any screw?
If you’ve accidentally misplaced or lost either your spring preload screw or installation tool, please do not hesitate to contact us to source a replacement. These are custom made screws and are not able to be obtained elsewhere.

I’ve been told that I need to relubricate my piston in my SXV, what do I use?
We recommend using ordinary engine oil. In most cases, there is enough oil vapour passing through with the vented, which is sufficient enough to keep the valve lubricated. Using any other form of lubrication may be too viscous and may significantly affect the operation of the valve.
